Extensibility

The supported surface for adding, registering, discovering, and validating your own representations. See the custom representation tutorial for a worked example.

Base class and registration

BaseRepresentation	Public base class for third-party PreTab representations.
register_representation	Register a representation class under name so it is selectable by name.
list_representations	Return the registered method names matching every supplied filter.
check_representation	Run the representation conformance suite on a class.
load_entry_point_representations	Register representations advertised by installed packages.

Exceptions and warnings

FrozenRepresentationError	A mutating operation (e.g. set_params) was attempted on a frozen preprocessor.
LeakageWarning	Potential target leakage: a supervised transformer fit outside a cross-fitting / Pipeline / cross-validation context.
OutputBudgetError	The fitted preprocessor would exceed a configured output budget (max_output_features / max_features_per_input / max_dense_memory).
PretabSerializationError	A representation spec could not be serialized or reconstructed (unsupported value, unknown class, or incompatible schema_version).
PretabWarning	Base category for every warning emitted by PreTab.
RepresentationConformanceError	A representation class failed a pretab.check_representation() check.

Logging

configure_logging	Opt-in console logging for standalone use.
set_verbosity	Set the "pretab" logger level from an integer verbosity.
